Who We Are
The Founders of Thomson McDuffie Homeschool Co-op

My name is Brooke Wilkerson. I am married to Jeremy Wilkerson, he is a firefighter/EMT. We have an almost two year old son  whom I currently homeschool. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Educational Studies of Elementary Education. I worked in childcare for 5 years and was a substitute teacher in Columbia County. My journey began when I decided not to pursue teaching in a public school setting after the birth of our son. After many prayers and careful consideration, we decided it would be best if I stayed home and focused on raising our children in a way that aligned with our beliefs and values. I began to see a need for an inclusive and affordable resource for homeschool families out in the rural counties. After months of discernment and planning, I decided to start a weekly co-op for homeschool families. I firmly believe that no two children are the same and every child is beautifully created by God. My hope is that this group grows and fulfills the need of a welcoming, affordable, and engaging group for our homeschool families to learn and grow.
